  • We build complete "Long block assemblies" -built /balanced / done- from pan up to and including heads installed with new push rods and rocker arms adjusted and test run on a $30K mechanical engine run-in machine- spins the balanced assembly at about 350rpms - compression tests are done as well a complete visual inspection of plugs -check for plug leaks,  oiling system etc. , includes the  harmonic balancer installation labor but not the part.    No sheet metal, i.e.
  • no timing cover, no oil pan, no valve covers or intake --they are all optional -we carry a massive inventory of all those parts as well as exhaust manifolds, carbs 2x4 setups.

Corvette all threads are intact no Helicoils, no welding.  Not a restamp, original deck surface, water passages are free of excess rust, date cast Dec 26 or 28 1967. perfect for 1968 model car for restoration, not many left casting no. 3916321, & prefix TO229IL  indicate a 390hp. Corvette, but could be used for a Copo Camaro  or Copo Duce Clone,  maybe even a Chevelle SS you decide. This Block is in excellent shape, $2,800  

A COMPLETLEY REBUILT 1968 435 HP 4 BOLT MAIN CHEVY 427 SHORT BLOCK, BLOCK CASTING # IS 3918321, DATE CODE IS L-27-7(DECEMBER 27-1967),FRONT PAD READS T0110IU.  THIS BLOCK HAS THE  2 BIG OIL GALLEY PLUGS OVER THE OIL FILTER.  THIS BLOCK HAS BEEN OVEN CLEANED(HAS NO RUST OR SCALE), SHOT PEENED AND MAGNAFLUXED. THIS BLOCK HAS NO CRACKS  AND IT HAS BEEN PRESSURE TESTED.  THE BLOCK IS FRESHLY HONED AND IS  MAINTAINED AT CHERRY """STANDARD BORE""" NO SLEEVES!!  (WORST CYLINDER WAS 4.2516) IT IS ALSO   LINE HONED, SQUARE DECKED, NEW CAM BEARINGS INSTALLED,  NEW  BRASS FREEZE PLUGS. ALL BOLT HOLES ARE FINE. HAS NO HELI COILS AND NEEDS NO HELI COILS. THE SHORT BLOCK HAS  A NEW  SET OF TRW  FORGED L2268F  STD PISTIONS WHICH WILL YEILD A STOCK 11.25:1 COMPRESSION WITH A CLOSED CHAMBER HEAD AND 10.00:1 WITH AN OPEN CHAMBER HEAD. NEW CLEVITE MAIN AND ROD BEARINGS, A NEW 435HP MECHANICAL LIFTER CAM, RODS WERE RECONDITIONED AND CRANKSHAFT  IS  "NOS" BRAND NEW GM STANDARD FORGED STEEL. ALSO A NEW CLOYES  DOUBLE ROLLER TIMING SET.  FRONT PAD IS SURFACED AND READY TO STAMP WITH YOUR NUMBERS.  THE ROTATING ASSEMBLY WAS  BALANCED. THIS ENGINE IS READY TO  RUN AT NO RISK  - IT COMES WITH A 1YR 12,000 MILE WARRANTY.   PARTS AND MACHINE WORK TOTALED $3,700.00 NOT COUNTING  THE $2,600.00 I PAID FOR THE BLOCK. ==THIS short BLOCK IS NO LONGER FOR sale
